Historic Scotland withdraws Objection
Historic Scotland withdraws their objection to Auchintirrie Wind Turbine Development over concerns of visual impact on the setting of Scheduled Monument Barone Fort (17/6/2015). Following examination of the photomontage provided, Martin Brann, Historic Scotland’s senior heritage management officer for ancient monuments, wrote:
“The photomontage illustrates that the two proposed turbines will be clearly in views from Barone Hill, fort (Scheduled Monument Index No. 2430).
“However, based on the photomontage, we do not consider that the scale of the impact on the setting of the monument will be sufficient to raise issues of national significance.”
